Easy Creamy Coleslaw

downtonabbeycooks · April 12, 2020 ·

Coleslaw is the perfect side dish for in the summer or all year round with your fish & chips. It is really easy to make.[wpurp-searchable-recipe]Easy Creamy Coleslaw – Coleslaw is the perfect side dish for in the summer or all year round with your fish & chips. It is so easy to make on your own. – cabbage, carrots, mayonnaise, sour cream, sugar (or sugar substitute), apple cider vinegar (or any vinegar), dry mustard, celery salt, salt and freshly ground pepper, , While you can buy pre-shredded cabbage and carrots, but it is easy enough to shred your own ingredients. You can use your food processor shredder, but I find a mandoline to be faster with less cleanup. A special glove prevents you from cutting your hands. Shred both into a large bowl.; Whisk the rest of the ingredients in a medium-sized bowl to combine. ; Add the dressing to the cabbage mixture and combine well. Adjust the seasoning to your taste. Refrigerate for an hour or so to let the flavours meld.; ; –
Tools of the Trade

As Mrs. Patmore says, “a poor workman blames his tools”. If you want to invest the time in learning to cook you should fortify yourself with proper cooking tools.

I do love the hunt in my local cooking stores, but you can order items directly through Amazon, so you have more time to watch Downton.
