March 14: Celebrate Pi Day with Delicious Pie Recipes

downtonabbeycooks · March 12, 2024 ·

While Pi Day, celebrating the mathematical constant π on March 14th (3.14), is recent, the love of pie itself is eternal. There’s perhaps no dessert more timeless and universally beloved than a delicious pie. With a perfectly flaky crust and delectable fillings ranging from fruity to creamy, there’s a pie out there for every palate. And what better way to commemorate the symbolic pi number than by indulging in a slice (or three) of your favourite pie variety?

Celebrate Pi Day with Delicious Pie Recipes

March 14th (3.14) is an annual celebration for math scholars, educators, and anyone who loves an excuse to eat pie! Pi Day honours the mathematical constant π (pi), the ratio of a circle’s circumference to its diameter. While it may seem like an obscure mathematical holiday, Pi Day has become a beloved tradition for pie lovers everywhere.

With a perfectly flaky crust and fillings ranging from fruity to creamy, there’s a pie out there for every taste. In addition to sweet pies, there are also savoury pies to enjoy. Pi Day is an excellent excuse to indulge in a slice (or three) of your favourite pie variety, while commemorating the symbolic pi number.
